Donald Trump is too nice.
You may think that I’m being contrarian, or just trying to pique your curiosity. I’m not trying to generate controversy, just tell it like it is.
Donald Trump is just too nice, especially when you consider all the facts and the treatment and targeting he’s been on the receiving end of.
The other day, Gina Raimondo, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and former Governor of Rhode Island went on MSNBC’s ridiculous propaganda show Morning Joe. Mika Brzezinsky announced that Raimondo was appearing “in her personal capacity” before beginning a hysterical interview about how Donald Trump can’t say that he’s a protector of women because, well, they seem worried it’s a statement that will resonate.
Consider that the Harris-Biden regime has failed at keeping the country secure, and the Kamala Harris campaign somehow seems committed to try and make every declining facet of the nation even worse. American women care about this, so you can understand the concern of the muppets at MSNBC.
With encouragement from Brzezinsky, Raimondo said this of Trump: “Let’s extinguish him for good.”
Talk about a cruel choice of words, especially when said about someone with two serious attempts on his life in just one season.
It’s especially rich considering all of the things they’ve jumped on him for, like saying that we need to “fight,” which is a word everyone uses, whether cheering on a sports team or trying to get a job.
But, did Donald Trump respond in some uncalled for way? Did he retaliate and say that Raimondo should be confronted in public by his many supporters? No. He’s actually a nice guy.
Trump the nice guy
Does it seem like an extreme idea that he would call for those on his side to confront an adversary? You may recall someone else doing something similar. More on that in a bit.
The idea that Trump is uncivilized or brutish is one of the most bewildering things people say about Trump. Not long ago I recall sitting at a bar and grill when someone commented about how they liked Trump’s policies, but just didn’t like his demeanor. I had mostly gotten used to people saying this, but it’s never seemed more absurd than now.
I took a sip and spoke up: “If anything, Donald Trump is too nice.”
What?
Let’s take a closer look, okay?
Remember the idea that someone in public office would be unhinged enough to suggest that constituents should accost the opposing side in public places?
That happened when Rep. Maxine Waters said, “If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station; you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome.”
She was referring, of course, to the Trump administration.
Even CNN called it harassment, but apparently it wasn’t that bad in the eyes of Nancy Pelosi, the only person to serve in Congress longer than Waters. Instead of completely condemning Waters’ dangerous and irresponsible behavior, she said it was Trump’s fault. Classic victim-blaming.
So what did Trump do? Did he tell his millions of supporters to bother Waters at the nail salon or her local watering hole?
No. He pointed out that she wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, something most people inherently know. In a way that even excuses her behavior just a tad. Nothing really happened to Waters, and Trump was just too nice to her. There are so many examples of this kind of thing.
Then there are cases of Trump being downright magnanimous. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. recently pointed out that years ago, Trump gave him a ride in his plane, knowing full well that Kennedy was suing him. Trump seemed to be able to easily compartmentalize two things: someone needing a ride and that person suing him.
That’s nice if you ask me.
People have also said that “Trump never forgets,” that he holds a grudge. That doesn’t seem to hold much weight. He’s had his friction with people like Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas), but Trump mostly seems happy to put all in the past and work together.
Sometimes Trump has had some bristly spats. You don’t like it? For better or worse, that’s called politics. If the kitchen seems heated, maybe you weren’t meant for cooking. If someone is running for office and they can’t handle someone’s words, maybe they aren’t suited to be a politician. Our elected officials should be able to stand up to scrutiny. Yet, the media continues to run with this tired narrative.
The non-stop hoaxes against Trump
Relating to Trump especially, the media has served up nonstop hoaxes, all debunked. There’s the Charlottesville “fine people” hoax. There’s the “injecting or drinking bleach” hoax, the “Russia collusion hoax,” and the “January 6th insurrection” hoax. All of these total media fabrications.
With a legacy media in complete service to the DNC, RINOs and the rest of the establishment, these hoaxes continue to be perpetuated. Joe Biden regurgitated these whoppers, and who knows maybe Biden believed them? He told the “fine people” hoax in his debate against Trump, but it didn’t save him. The debate resulted in a TKO (technical knockout) and Biden’s campaign was over.
Kamala Harris, on the other hand, knows that she’s repeating untrue claims, but who’s to stop her? Certainly not the moderators of the lone Trump vs. Harris debate. They just let her get away with it, even though they knew she was being intentionally deceptive.
All of this misinformation has created a figurative ticking time bomb. The rhetoric and fear-mongering without a doubt were the major contributing factors of the two assassination attempts.
Trump has faced violence, lawfare, nonsense impeachments, a dishonest and biased media, and nonstop vitriol from the elites in the entertainment business and academia.
Yet, the 45th president remains the same happy warrior, and ever the optimist. This doesn’t mean he’s a doormat, but especially in relation to what he’s facing, he’s just too nice.
When I hear someone say that it’s mean tweets that are standing between them and voting for prosperity and peace through strength, I just smirk.
Let me get this straight: you’ll allow failed policies and incompetence to continue to be the norm because the President doesn’t make you feel warm and fuzzy inside? And let’s not even get into the insanity of Tim Walz’s (and his wife’s) bizarre beliefs, actions, and statements.
Based on who and what Trump has faced, he’s been very decent. He’s faced down some of the most corrupt and insidious bad actors around. It’s very clear that they will do anything to try and stop him.
You need someone tough for this, not a teddy bear. That’s why I’ll forgive him for damaging Rosie O’Donnell’s ego.
