President Donald Trump’s decision to nominate former Department of Defense Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of National Intelligence Kash Patel to the position of FBI director has made waves among establishment hardliners.
“Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the America People,” President Trump said in a statement on Truth Social.
Patel has become well-known since his days in the Trump administration. He is also the author of the bestselling book, Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for our Democracy.
In it, he revealed Deep State rot and corruption, based on his experience serving at the highest levels of government, and has since been very outspoken about the sinister threat against American freedom that comes from within.
The Deep State and the media opposes Patel
Washington Post opinion writer Ruth Marcus recently called Patel a “dangerous and unqualified choice for the FBI” and former national security advisor John Bolton even encouraged the Senate to “reject” Patel’s nomination. The Atlantic even suggested in a piece by David Frum that the position of FBI director was “a position above politics” until Donald Trump came along.
To suggest the FBI has been disentangled entirely from Deep State manipulation or control for the past few decades is, of course, ridiculous. Kash Patel may very well be the first FBI director ever who is not there to placate Deep State demands, but rather, to expose them and lead the agency forward to nonpartisan oversight.
It seems that the media – and government bureaucrats – are unilaterally aligned against Patel for one obvious reason: he’s not part of the machine. But this is why he is the perfect choice for the job. After years of lawfare and statist behavior (remember the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago? Or how about the FBI arrest of pro-life activist Mark Houck?), the FBI may actually be used for something good, rather than as the thuggish enforcement arm of a corrupt and festering federal cesspool.
Steve Benen, a producer for “The Rachel Maddow Show,” wrote in a piece published on MSNBC that the idea of putting Patel “in charge of the FBI isn’t just wrong. It’s also dangerous.”
Why is it dangerous? In his editorial, Benen suggested Patel is inexperienced (this is objectively false), and that current FBI Director Christopher Wray would have to either be fired or resign from his post to make way for Patel (most would see this as a win-win) – something he insinuated would be “without cause” and “under normal circumstances in a healthy political environment, this alone would be the basis for a major, presidency-defining controversy.”
Benen seems to believe that firing someone is controversial.
But while the media and establishment ghouls like John Bolton decry the nomination of Patel, he has gained extremely high praise from conservative leaders across the board.
The change we need?
Former National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien, for example, stated, “He handled some of the nation’s most sensitive issues with care and discretion. From assisting President Trump in the take down of ISIS and bringing justice to Kayla Mueller’s murderer – al Baghdadi – to risking his life in Syria for hostage Austin Tice, Kash Patel fought for America.”
He has also been lauded by former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Republican New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (also the U.N. Ambassador-Designate), and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.
Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson also chimed in on Sunday, praising the nomination from Trump. “Kash Patel has extensive experience in national security and intelligence. He is an America First patriot who will bring much-needed change and transparency to the FBI,” wrote Johnson on X.
Former FBI Agent Ben Sothers recently remarked to The Washington Times that Patel is “a really transparent guy who was a public defender, so he understands due process to an extent that most people won’t.”
President Trump’s ongoing second-term nominations and staff picks are remarkably different from his first term. He is consistently picking America First patriots who have proven over the past four years that they are willing to stand defiantly against the federal machine even when they’re not in a position of safety or authority.
This puts him in an excellent position to rapidly carry out his promised agenda to make America great again by reclaiming her sovereignty and rooting out Deep State corruption as quickly as possible.
