First Lady Melania Trump took the stage at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, after being welcomed to the podium by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, where she gave brief and thoughtful remarks before introducing her husband, President Donald J. Trump.
“For generations, this town has produced America’s most fearless leaders who mark changed the course of the world,” Mrs. Trump said of New York, lauding its artistic achievements and entrepreneurial spirit.
“If is YOU who is the heartbeat of this great metropolis,” she said. “It is YOU who is the pulse of this America.”
She continued, “Please welcome our next Commander-in-Chief, my husband, President Donald J. Trump.”
The president’s entrance was electrifying – it capped off hours of rally speakers ranging from Elon Musk to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Dr. Phil McGraw to Hulk Hogan.
It was truly a rally for the ages.
“We need the American dream to COME BACK HOME,” President Trump said.
The stadium – which was at max capacity – exploded with chants of “TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!” Earlier in the evening, President Trump’s son Eric Trump said that nearly 200,000 people had attempted to attend the rally. The venue can only hold around 20,000 people – and every seat was filled, per reports.
“I’m asking you to be excited about the future of our country again, I’m asking you to DREAM BIG AGAIN,” he continued. “This will be America’s new GOLDEN AGE.”
He stressed the importance of early voting.
“We have to keep it going – gotta get out and VOTE!” he said.
“We’re going to defeat Kamala Harris, and we’re going to WIN BACK the beautiful White House, and we’re going to make America GREAT again and it’s going to happen FAST!” he continued.
The president also announced a new policy during his speech. He said he would provide a family tax credit for caregivers. “It’s about time they are recognized,” he said.
Trump further promised to make interest on car loans fully tax deductible for vehicles made on American soil.
In a forward-facing vision, the president vowed to ensure the future of the next generation.
“I will protect our workers, I will protect our jobs, I will protect our borders, I will protect our great families, and I will protect the birthright of our children to live in the richest and most powerful nation on the face of the earth,” he said.
The president also focused emphatically on ending the horrific violent illegal invasion, thanks to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s dangerous open border policies – which has resulted in the deaths of innocent Americans like Laken Riley.
“The day I take the oath of office the migrant invasion ends and the restoration of our country begins,” Trump declared.
The crowd broke into chants of “SEND THEM HOME” at one point.
“The United States is now an occupied country, but it will soon be an occupied country NO LONGER,” he said.
He called November 5 – which is just nine days away – America’s “LIBERATION DAY.”
Trump laid out his plan to remove violent criminals who have illegally entered the country: invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798s and carry out the largest deportation operation in American history.
“The worst nightmare that we’re facing is what they’ve done to us on our borders,” he said.
He said that anyone who re-enters the country after being deported will receive an immediate ten years in jail with no possibility of parole. And any illegal who kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer will receive the death penalty
The crowd responded to this proposal with chants of “USA!”
“Kamala’s gross incompetence disqualifies her from being President of the United States of America,” he said. “…She’s unfit for office, everyone knows it, no one respects her.”
