President Donald Trump’s visit to Coachella, California, on Saturday night is one of the most triumphant moments of his historic 2024 campaign, and here’s why: the Golden State loves him, despite what the mainstream media might claim.
The day began bright and early as the sunrise broke over the jagged desert mountains as thouands of patriots lined up to be shuttled to the venue, ready to brave extremely hot and dry weather to see Trump speak.
As the crowds gathered and the heat set in, the energy was high while rallygoers listened to toe-tapping tunes like “Party in the USA” and “Hall of Fame,” sporting MAGA hats, red, white, and blue clothing, and plenty of Trump flags to go around.
The day was hot, but spirits were so high that it didn’t matter – when President Trump took the stage, the venue went wild with applause and cheers amidst the chorus of Lee Greenwood’s iconic “God Bless the USA.”
The rally was an incredible example of just how many Californians truly love President Trump and how hungry they are to be rescued from the progressive grip of destructive Communist policies coming out of Sacramento – policies spearheaded by disastrous leaders like former state attorney general Kamala Harris and now-Governor Gavin Newsom.
The remarkable thing about a Trump rally is the respect rallygoers have for one another. The comradarie is visceral – attendees shared water with each other, watched each other’s belongings, and chatted amiably about their lives and their reason for being at the rally in the first place.
There is also an intense respect among rallygoers at a Trump event for the American flag, the American military, and First Responders.
The rally opened with a rousing prayer by Pastor Greg Laurie of Riverside County, followed by the Pledge of Allegience spearheaded by Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco. The crowd was immensely respectful of this opening moment, which was concluded with the National Anthem.
President Trump’s remarks were impactful – he discussed the damage of leftist policies in California, and especially hammered home the evils of illegal immigration.
“This election is your chance to send a message TO THE WORLD that the people of California are not going to take it any longer!” Trump said.
Trump said he would bring water back to California, nixing the “artificial” drought that the state has suffered under due to bad policies.
“You’re going to have so much water you’re not going to know what to do with it,” he said.
President Trump also graciously paused mid-speech while a doctor attended to a rallygoer who presumably felt unwell in the stands.
“We love Trump!” the crowd chanted.
The president then asked the audience to give them a hand. It was such a kind moment – and a stark reminder of just how kind Trump truly is.
The president promised to bring back domestic energy production, implement a nationwide deportation operation (Operation Aurora), and empower law enforcement to do their jobs again.
“We will strengthen ad modernize our military and we will have a missile defense shield,” he vowed.
The president’s litany of promises – from supporting universal school choice to ensuring men will stay out of women’s sports – hit home.
“We will secure our elections like they’ve never been secured before,” he added. “And under the Trump administration we will put American citizens first, American children first…and American communties – we’re going to put them first!”
Meaningfully, the president vowed, “I will give you back your freedom and give back your life.”
The Trump rally in California was much more than a political event. It was an illustration of a movement – a snapshot of a beautiful reclamation of American liberty and independence.
It was a reminder of just how close the United States is to being great once more.
