President Donald Trump delivered stirring remarks on Saturday night in Butler, Pennsylvania, to a crowd of over 100,000 reported rallygoers who showed up in full force to support their favorite president’s return to the scene of his near-assassination in July.
“What our opponents have never understood is that this movement has never been about me. It’s always been about YOU…everyday people who are the HEART AND SOUL of our country,” he said.
The president continued, “Your hopes are my hopes, your dreams are my dreams, and your future is what I am fighting for EVERY SINGLE DAY.”
President Trump’s remarks were uniquely different from those of other rallies. He honored the memory of fallen fire chief Corey Comperatore – who lost his life on July 13 during the original Butler rally – and acknowledged what almost happened that day to himself.
Joined by allies like Ohio Sen. and running mate J.D. Vance, Eric and Lara Trump, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, and many more, President Trump surveyed the crowd with poise and confidence.
“From the very beginning of this journey I’ve been on a mission to rescue our country from a failed and very corrupt political establishment, we have to change it…and to give you back the country that you believe in, and I believe in, it’s the country that you were born in,” he said.
The president demonstrated great courage when he added, “In that mission, I will never quit, I will never bend, I will never break, and I will never yield – NOT EVEN IN THE FACE OF DEATH ITSELF.”
