President Donald Trump doubled down on his America First policy agenda on Wednesday in Mint Hill, North Carolina, presenting a clear-eyed vision of bringing the American economy back to life.
“Get out and vote for Trump, that’s all I ask!” Trump said.
He touched on several topics during his speech at the Mosack Group, including the horrors of this year’s assassination attempts that nearly took his life.
He called on Apple to assist the FBI in unlocking the alleged shooters’ phones, which are currently inaccessible. “Who was he calling?” Trump asked, referring to shooter number two, allegedly Ryan Routh.
During his remarks, President Trump committed to the following actions:
- Doubling electricity production in the United States. He said this was needed to be competitive in the realm of Artificial Intelligence, which he described as an “energy eating monster.”
- Cut ten old regulations for every one new regulation. “I cut more regulations during my four-year term than any other president in history during any term,” he said.
- A return to American auto manufacturing supremacy. “To the autoworkers of our country, we love you – I am pinpointing you for greatness,” he said. Friendly manufacturing conditions would bring companies back to America from places like Germany and South Korea, he explained.
- A 100 percent tariff on every single car manufactured in foreign countries. “Get rid of the tariff if you build your plant…in the United States,” he said.
- Seal the border and stop the illegal migrant invasion. “Under Border Czar Harris, millions and millions of people are pouring in right now from all over the world.” He will accomplish this by carrying out “the largest deportation operation in American history.”
- No tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security. This is part of Trump’s plan to “end inflation and make America AFFORDABLE again.”
- Implement a temporary cap on credit card interest rates. The president said the rate would be capped at 10 percent.
- Stop global war from erupting. “I will be sure that World War III will not happen,” he vowed. Amid increasingly tense violence in the Middle East and Europe, and as China becomes bolder, Trump’s promise is more impactful than ever.
- Terminate the electric vehicle mandate. He said it was important to have “choice” in the automobile market, and that includes gasoline and diesel-run vehicles.
- Protect core constitutional rights. The president vowed to protect free speech and defend the Second Amendment.
- Ensure election integrity. Trump said he would “secure our elections,” which have been under intense scrutiny since the 2020 presidential election chaos.
In closing President Trump said November 5 would be the day when Americans would save their economy and the country,
“We will take our country back,” he concluded.
