Female voters in the United States hold significant electoral power, and President Trump recently made an impassioned case for them to vote for his reelection in 2024.
Trump addressed current problems in America in a statement posted to Truth Social, pointing out that women were far better off four years ago under his administration than now.
He wrote:
“WOMEN ARE POORER THAN THEY WERE FOUR YEARS AGO, ARE LESS HEALTHY THAN THEY WERE FOUR YEARS AGO, ARE LESS SAFE ON THE STREETS THAN THEY WERE FOUR YEARS AGO, ARE MORE DEPRESSED AND UNHAPPY THAN THEY WERE FOUR YEARS AGO, AND ARE LESS OPTIMISTIC AND CONFIDENT IN THE FUTURE THAN THEY WERE FOUR YEARS AGO!”
In America, around 7 million more women than men are registered to vote, according to the Center for American Women and Politics.
According to a survey from KFF over the summer, inflation ranked as the most important issue among female voters, followed by “threats to democracy” (it’s unclear what this is referring to, specifically), immigration and border security, and abortion and gun policy. The war between Israel and Hamas and the war in Ukraine were dead last.
These findings are unique when contrasted against data from The New York Times/Siena College, which reported in late August that most voters considered abortion a “central” issue for their voting behavior. The data revealed that 14 percent of registered voters surveyed agreed abortion was an important issue in deciding how to vote. This does not necessarily mean that voters surveyed in this instance were all pro-life or pro-choice – it just means abortion is an issue they are taking into consideration when voting in 2024.
The most important issue was the economy and inflation/cost of living, per their data.
On the issue of abortion, Trump wrote in all caps:
“YOU WILL NO LONGER BE THINKING ABOUT ABORTION, BECAUSE IT IS NOW WHERE IT ALWAYS HAD TO BE, WITH THE STATES, AND A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE – AND WITH POWERFUL EXCEPTIONS, LIKE THOSE THAT RONALD REAGAN INSISTED ON, FOR RAPE, INCEST, AND THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER – BUT NOT ALLOWING FOR DEMOCRAT DEMANDED LATE TERM ABORTION IN THE 7TH, 8TH, OR 9TH MONTH, OR EVEN EXECUTION OF A BABY AFTER BIRTH.”
He promised to “PROTECT WOMEN AT A LEVEL NEVER SEEN BEFORE” and vowed to help women be “HEALTHY, HOPEFUL, SAFE, AND SECURE.”
As the open crisis continues and crime increases in American cities, women have a lot to consider this year as they head to the ballot box.
With a vote for Trump, the president concluded, “THEIR LIVES WILL BE HAPPY, BEAUTIFUL, AND GREAT AGAIN!”
