President Donald Trump arrived in North Carolina on Saturday for a rally in Wilmington, rolling up in style on Trump Force One, announcing a new policy pitch aimed at cleaning up illegal immigration.
President Trump focused heavily on the economy and immigration during his remarks.
“This election is about the economy, this election is about the border…and I am your BORDER PRESIDENT,” he said. “Kamala would be your INVASION PRESIDENT!”
He slammed Kamala Harris for her poor performance as the “border czar,” resulting in the illegal immigration of “21 million illegals.”
“Now we have thousands of terrorists in our country…the worst terrorists from the WORST countries,” he added.
He also criticized migrant-related crime in North Carolina, pointing to damaging sanctuary policies as a major driver of the issue.
He announced a “new plan to end sanctuary cities” in North Carolina and nationwide.
“We will GET THEM OUT [illegals] of North Carolina and we will send them home where they BELONG,” he said.
Trump said as the prospective president in 2025 he would ask Congress to pass a law outlawing sanctuary cities nationwide, utilizing the power of the federal government to pressure states into federal compliance.
“Within two years there will not be one single criminal foreign gang operating within North Carolina,” he added.
Trump noted that the ongoing border crisis was also “crushing the jobs and wages of African American workers” as well as Hispanic Americans and unions.
“[Illegal migrants] are taking your JOBS,” he pointed out.
Trump said that “every job produced in this country over the last two years has gone to illegal aliens.”
Trump is maintaining a 4-point lead over Kamala Harris in North Carolina, according to recent data from Victory Insights.
