President Donald Trump took a stand on Monday while addressing the second assassination attempt on his life this year in West Palm Beach at his golf course, spotlighting years of divisive rhetoric and lies as the main driver behind such heinous acts.
“The Rhetoric, Lies, as exemplified by the false statements made by Comrade Kamala Harris during the rigged and highly partisan ABC Debate, and all of the ridiculous lawsuits specifically designed to inflict damage on Joe’s, then Kamala’s, Political Opponent, ME, has taken politics in our Country to a whole new level of Hatred, Abuse, and Distrust,” he said on Truth Social.
On Sunday, alleged suspect Ryan Routh was taken into custody after being caught with a rifle in the bushes at President Trump’s golf course. According to Reuters, as of Monday, Routh had been charged with two gun-related crimes: possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and possession of a gun with a serial number that is unreadable.
Routh has a murky past that is easily trackable online. He allegedly wrote a book about the Ukraine war, in which he discussed the assassination of President Trump.
Many questions remain. How was he able to get so close to President Trump during an unannounced and unscheduled trip to his personal golf course?
The level of vitriol directed toward President Trump since he initially ran for office in 2016 has fueled the political fires of radical entities and people like the alleged would-be shooter.
“Because of this Communist Left Rhetoric, the bullets are flying, and it will only get worse!” Trump wrote.
Donald Trump Jr. – the president’s eldest son – revealed how difficult the situation has been for the Trump family.
He wrote on X:
“You know what’s getting really old? Having to have conversations with my 5 young children about radical leftist trying to kill their grandfather. No person should ever have to do this in America or anywhere else and yet I had to have that conversation five times again yesterday.”
SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk – who strongly endorsed President Trump in July following the first assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania – responded to the younger Trump’s statement on social media.
“The incitement to hatred and violence against President Trump by the media and leading Democrats needs to stop,” Musk stated.
The alleged attempted shooter from Sunday, Ryan Routh, reportedly lives on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. An alleged photo of his pickup truck revealed a visible “Biden-Harris” bumper sticker.
Routh’s alleged Facebook page has been scrubbed by Meta, and his account on X has been suspended.
It is unclear how Routh gained access to Trump’s golf course and how he knew the president would be playing there on Sunday, considering his presence there was reportedly unscheduled.
Prominent podcaster and scientific researcher Mike Adams, also known as the “Health Ranger,” shared his personal insight on the situation, citing an unnamed source in his statement.
“A source tells me the leak of Trump’s whereabouts is coming from Homeland Security, not USSS. Homeland Security is leaking location details to FBI, and FBI is running the assassins,” he wrote on X.
He continued, “If Homeland can’t eliminate Trump soon, State Dept will make sure a war begins with Russia. If they fail, hundreds of top people within FBI and Homeland are going to either flee the country or be criminally prosecuted under a Trump presidency. This is what’s at stake.”
