President Donald Trump announced on Friday the formation of Trump Vance 2025 Transition, Inc., which will prepare a presidential transition team for a prospective second term administration.
“The 2024 GOP Platform to Make America Great Again is a forward-looking agenda that will deliver safety, prosperity and freedom for the American people. My administration will deliver on these bold promises,” said President Trump in a statement.
The team includes five leaders who will oversee transitional operations:
- Co-Chair: Linda McMahon. She is a business executive and retired wrestling performer associated with the WWE – but don’t let that fool you. She is married to Vince McMahon. Together, they founded WWE. She previously served as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration, appointed by President Donald Trump. She also worked on the president’s reelection campaign in 2020. Her return is hardly surprising!
- Co-Chair: Howard Lutnik. This billionaire businessman is the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P., one of the world’s top financial services firms. He has done a fair amount of fundraising for the president this year. “I believe his policies will be critical in ensuring American businesses remain successful and our role on the world stage remains strong. I’m proud together we raised $15 million,” he said on X in August.
- Honorary Co-Chair: Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio. Vance, of course, is Trump’s running mate. He is also a skilled businessman and has good relationships with Silicon Valley high-rollers.
- Honorary Chairs: Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump, the president’s eldest sons and two of his most trusted confidantes and allies.
“We will restore strength, competence and common sense to the Oval Office. I have absolute confidence the Trump-Vance Administration will be ready to govern effectively on Day One,” President Trump said.
