President Donald Trump made a very special entrance on Sunday evening in Washington, D.C., as he took the stage at the Capital One Arena, as he walked through the crowd to take an expansive stage surrounded by thousands of patriots.
He took the stage as Lee Greenwood sang his famed hit, “God Bless the USA.” For those who have watched Trump rallies over the year, it was an especially touching moment, since the song has become a cornerstone of Trump rallies and events since the president entered politics.
President Trump took a moment to enjoy the thunderous applause from the crowd, smiling and taking the podium with a declaration that changed the world: “WE WON.”
The crowd went wild.
“For the next four years I will fight for you, every single day,” he vowed.
He continued, “Tomorrow at NOON the curtain closes on four long years of American decline and we begin a brand new day of American strength and prosperity, dignity, and pride.”
The president said his administration would “end the reign of a failed and corrupt political establishment in Washington” and added, “we’re NOT going to take it anymore.”
Trump promised to “fix every single crisis that is facing our country” and pointed out how positive developments across our economy and the world have taken place even BEFORE he has taken the reins of power again.
“Everyone is calling it…the Trump Effect,” he said. “It’s YOU.”
President Trump also drew attention to the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, as well as the release of the first few hostages, thanks to his negotiation leverage.
“We achieved an epic ceasefire agreement as a first step toward lasting peace in the Middle East,” Trump said. “This agreement could have only been achieved as a result of our historic victory in November.”
President Trump additionally foreshadowed his first day in the Oval Office on Monday. “We have to set our country on the proper course – by the time the sun sets tomorrow evening the invasion of our borders will have come to a halt and all the illegal trespassers will, in some form or another, be on their way back home.”
