President Joe Biden is scheduled to deliver a farewell address to the country on Wednesday. Given the damage he has caused to this nation, many Americans do not want to hear from him.
As such, Biden should simply forget about his farewell address and go home.
Biden has nothing of value to tell the American people. His administration was a disaster from the day he took office, and he left his successor, President Donald J. Trump, a country that is in significant decline.
Many Americans do not want to hear from Biden. They do not want to hear from the man whose administration and policies absolutely destroyed this country, decimated the economy, forced them to deplete their savings, and hurt their families.
During Trump’s first term, before the pandemic, America was booming economically, Americans and American businesses were thriving, gas pricess were low, taxes were low, unemployment was low, and inflation was under control. America was also well on the road to energy independence.
The border was secure, illegal crossings were down, America was not involved in any new wars, and America was respected around the world.
Conversely, over the past four years, Biden’s policies have obliterated the economy. Taxes are higher, inflation has reached record high levels on various occasions, gas prices are higher, food is more expensive, young people are forced to live at home because they are unable to afford a house, and some Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
Florida Senator Rick Scott recently stated:
“Joe Biden is lying to the American people about the state of the American economy, and this is exactly why they voted for change by electing President Trump. The American people have had enough of the reckless Biden-Harris policies that have destroyed the American Dream. On January 20th, Trump is taking office with a mandate to fix the problems the American people have been burdened with under the Biden administration. When I travel around Florida and talk to families, I hear heartbreaking stories about parents having to take on part-time work after losing their jobs, or having to go without and just scraping by. Growing up in public housing, I watched my parents work hard but still struggle to put food on the table. A new day is on the horizon, and myself, along with the majority of Americans who voted for President Trump, are looking forward to the America First policies we will see over the next four years.”
There is nothing that Biden can say in his farewell speech that will change these difficult realities.
Americans do not want to hear from the man whose policies made America a much more dangerous place to live. When he took office, Biden reversed many of Trump’s immigration policies, such as the remain-in-Mexico policy, although they worked very well to curb the flow of illegal immigrants entering the country.
Four years later, the border is wide open and porous, unvetted people have poured into the nation illegally, drug smuggling is out of control, and crime has increased in various cities over the past year.
The world is also on the brink of another major world war as a result of Biden’s weak foreign policy, his embarrassing and tragic withdrawal from Afghanistan, his willingness to appease America’s adversaries, and his failure to lead through strength. Russia and Ukraine are at war, the Middle East is on fire, and America’s adversaries are emboldened.
There is nothing Biden can say to ease the fear and anxiety that many Americans are feeling due to these irresponsible and reckless policies.
Nor do Americans want to hear from a man whose Department of Justice and various left-wing prosecutors utilized all the resources at their disposal to prosecute the leading Republican presidential candidate and current president-elect.
Biden’s DOJ did so because they were terrified that he would be reelected and were hell-bent on stopping him at any cost despite the impact that such conduct had on other innocent Americans, the justice system, and the entire nation.
Biden, as commander-in-chief, had every opportunity to put an end to these politicized cases by calling off his attorney general and those at the Department of Justice. Tragically, Biden never took this opportunity, but watched as a weaponized Department of Justice utilized its massive weight and influence to persecute and prosecute Trump, some who were closest to him, and other innocent Americans.
There is nothing Biden can say to convince Americans that this was merely an isolated and justified event. Americans know better. This was lawfare at its worst and will forever reflect the darkest side of human nature and cast a stain on the nation’s system of justice.
Given what the country has endured since 2020, many Americans simply want to turn the page from this terrible nightmare. For many Americans, there is nothing Joe Biden can say that will erase the past, ease their pain and suffering, or make things better.
They simply want him to leave the White House and go home and do not need to hear another word from him before he does so.
