President Donald Trump made campaign history on Sunday when he dropped by a Pennsylvania McDonald’s, donned an apron, and worked the French fry station in a humorous – and ingenious – roast of Kamala Harris’s claim that she worked at McDonald’s when she was young.
“I love McDonald’s, I love jobs – I like to see good jobs and I think it’s inappropriate when someone puts down that they worked at McDonald’s…she never worked at McDonald’s,” he told the press.
Huge crowds gathered outside the fast-food restaurant in the suburbs of Philadelphia, according to many videos posted online by attendees.
Sunday’s visit to McDonald’s was as entertaining as it was impactful – it signaled the continued dismantlement of Kamala Harris’s already tepid campaign heading into the final 16-day stretch of the election season.
“I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala,” the president said while standing at the drive-thru window.
He even served up fries to the press and to customers.
“I like this job, I might come back and do it again,” he remarked with a smile.
Video captured the president frying French fries, salting them, and sliding them into the famous red sleeves.
The president has been a longtime fan of McDonald’s food and even filmed a commercial for the American restaurant in the early 2000s.
On Sunday morning, President Trump stated on Truth Social that his team checked with McDonald’s to confirm whether “Lyin’ Kamala Harris” really worked there.
“…and they say, definitively, that there is no record of Lyin’ Kamala Harris ever having worked there,” he wrote.
He added, “Additionally, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are killing franchises, want to end all franchises, which will destroy values and jobs. Also, remember, from me, No Tax On Tips!
