The Man You Don’t Know
“The Man You Don’t Know” will hit theaters in late October, just before the anticipated presidential election. The documentary film is the brainchild of Global Ascension Studios. Americans may have also seen the studios’ recent previous documentary about artist Scott LoBaido, “The Relentless Patriot.”
“The Man You Don’t Know” is unique. It draws heavily on the words of those closest to the president – family members and friends – and offers viewers a counterpoint to the blistering and negative narrative churned out by mainstream media outlets against Trump and his allies.
“The constant abuse by the mainstream media and social media companies which led to multiple assassination attempts on President Trump’s life are what inspired this documentary. It was time for [a] media company to show who the man truly is,” Joshua Macciello, the CEO of Global Ascension Studios, told Write Revolution News.
The trailer for the film is impactful – it opens with Ephesians 6:11: “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
The film, directed by Christopher Martini, contrasts the hateful rhetoric and constant slurs from the media against the actual character of President Donald Trump – a character that has been well-documented for decades by those who have worked with him, for him, and who have spent time with the man himself.
“You want me to tell you something about Donald Trump that the media doesn’t know? How about this? He’s a wonderful human being,” retired professional wrestler Hulk Hogan says in a snippet from the documentary.

The documentary will feature exclusive insights and testimonies from key members of the Trump family, including Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, Eric Trump, Lara Trump, and President Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump. Through their unique perspectives, along with those of President Trump’s longtime friends in business and entertainment, such as Hulk Hogan, Kyle Forgeard of the NELK Boys, and political figures and everyday Americans who have benefited from President Trump’s impromptu acts of kindness and generosity, viewers will gain an intimate understanding of the man behind the headlines and public persona.
“The Man You Don’t Know” aims to present a multifaceted portrait of President Trump, highlighting his achievements as a highly decorated scholar, a world-class businessman, a man of faith, a devoted patriot, a loving family man, and a generous individual who has touched many lives. This documentary seeks to provide a deeper and more nuanced view of Donald J. Trump, counterbalancing the often one-dimensional portrayals seen in the media.
Before the 2024 presidential election, it’s more important than ever for Americans to ponder the character of President Trump and consider the character of “the man you don’t know” away from the white noise of the ceaseless media machine.
To learn more about this important and critical film, Write Revolution News talked to Global Ascension Studios CEO Joshua Macciello, who graciously shared insight on the inspiration for the film and the message it will bring to audiences in October.

WRN: What was the inspiration and the mission behind [‘The Man You Don’t Know’]?
JM: Global Ascension Studios was formed because we disagreed with the direction Hollywood and the entertainment industry were taking with their film and TV products. The “woke” movement, along with the trend of prioritizing hires based on quotas rather than actual talent, was stifling creativity and taking control away from writers and directors. This made us feel it was time to start our own studio, one rooted in traditional values that would help return filmmaking to the hands of the creatives. The whole demonic elements of film making was out of control also. We want to make inspirational and uplifting films which has not been done correctly for a while now.
WRN: Why make a film about Donald Trump?
JM: President Donald J. Trump has been severely misrepresented and attacked by nearly every media and social media outlet in the world. Anyone with a bit of common sense can see that there’s an underlying reason, not being discussed by mainstream and social media, for this widespread opposition. We set out to tell the true story of a man whose character has not been accurately portrayed—about “The Man You Don’t Know.”
WRN: What inspired this doc?
JM: The constant abuse by the mainstream media and social media companies which led to multiple assassination attempts on President Trump’s life are what inspired this documentary. It was time for [a] media company to show who the man truly is.
WRN: Why is it so important to understand ‘The Man You Don’t Know’ as we’re approaching the November election?
JM: I think the American people who were on the left and are not happy with their party as well as the center independent voters who are not happy with the current administration needed to see and hear the facts of who president Donald J Trump really is. And they needed to see it before this upcoming election.
WRN: Members of the Trump family and longtime friends participated in this endeavor via interviews – was there a recurring theme among these interviews that spoke to the character of who President Trump is?
JM: Absolutely, everyone spoke about his generosity and his ability to have compassion and to always want to help those in need.
WRN: Why is it so critical to watch this film before November 5?
JM: Because I believe people who will see this film will get a real sense of who President Trump really is. I believe those people will help put him back in the White House where he belongs.
WRN: Is there anything in the film that viewers may be surprised to learn about Trump?
JM: Before the famous escalator scene with Melania, there was a very famous elevator ride that took place where President Trump state[s] something that holds true to this very day. But you’ll have to watch the movie and find out what.
WRN: Has it been difficult to make a documentary like this during such a contentious political climate?
JM: Not really, we are on the right side of positive change and speaking with folks at such an unfortunate time in this country and the world’s history that all want to be a part of that change. So for us, we are talking to the right people at the right time.
WRN: What are the challenges associated with such an undertaking – and how did you overcome them to bring the film to fruition?
JM: The only challenges we faced was timing with the election so close to when we began. Everyone who is involved in this documentary has been so professional [and] so eager to help and to get the story out on who President Trump truly is.
