President Donald Trump will hold a press conference in New York at Trump Tower this afternoon.

Today, the New York Court of Appeals is looking at the 45th president’s appeal on a $355 million judgment doled out by Judge Arthur Engoron earlier this year against the president and the Trump Organization in the now-infamous civil fraud case.

According to The Hill, the appeal began in New York at 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Trump’s presser will likely be a direct response to this development.

The press conference also comes on the same day that an indictment against New York City Mayor Eric Adams for alleged campaign corruption became public.

As the election nears, Trump’s popularity in New York is growing. According to Politico, citing a recent Siena College poll, “Trump now has a higher favorability rating than Kathy Hochul.”

Interestingly, Trump is also polling better with Jewish voters. According to the New York Post, a recent public opinion poll of 800 self-identified Jewish voters in Pennsylvania and various congressional districts in New York reflected some important results concerning Jewish voters:

“Our polling found that the presidential race in Pennsylvania is almost evenly divided among Jewish voters, with 49% for Vice President Harris and 42% for Trump.

That represents a huge drop-off for Democrats: In 2020, national polls showed Biden winning the Jewish vote 68% to 30%.

The trend held but was less pronounced in the New York districts, with 56% for Harris and 37% for Trump.”

It is not surprising that Jewish voters are beginning to support Trump in larger numbers. Anti-Semitism around the world is rampant as is anti-Israel sentiment. Jews also recognize that Trump has done more for the Jewish people and the State of Israel than any other president.

As Trump recently stated during a press conference in Washington, D.C., “My promise to Jewish Americans is this: With your vote, I will be your defender, your protector, and I will be the best friend Jewish Americans have ever had in the White House.”

Jewish voters have no reason to doubt Trump’s promise. As a matter of fact, it gives them reassurance.

While New York is traditionally a blue state, Trump insists that he can win the state’s 28 electoral votes this time around. As Trump recently stated, “We can win New York. We’re going to win New York … Your love for your state will come roaring back.”

President Donald Trump’s press conference is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET at Trump Tower in New York.
