The threat of a government determined to destroy families and take children from good, loving parents is looming before us.

The first steps toward government-raised-children have already been taken. For years, the public education system has pitted students against their parents, their heritage, and the American ideals that uphold individual inherent human rights. Now, Americans are standing at an obvious fork in the road.

The Harris-Walz path replaces parents with the state. This begins with increased public school indoctrination and an overruling of parental rights regarding long-term health decisions.

It then leads to divisive tactics centered on identity politics designed to tear communities apart and destroy our culture and our values entirely.

The other path – the Trump-Vance path – reinforces America First policies, which herald families, faith, and the individual freedoms that make this nation great. This is easily achieved by reinforcing parental rights, removing divisive political ideologies from schools, and upholding the Constitution as it was meant to be upheld.

The anti-family threat of Harris-Walz

To display the obvious danger, the parental rights group Moms For Liberty recently released a Letter to American Parents, alerting families of the Harris-Walz “threat.” They warned that if the Democrats were elected, it “would give way to the rise of the most anti-parent, extremist government America has ever known.”

Further:

“In the extremist view of Harris-Walz, the family is viewed as a threat to the government’s power,” the letter goes on. “We have heard this thinking before, whether it was called socialism in Cuba or Marxism in Russia or Maoism in China. Each operates on the belief that by weakening the family unit, the state can exert greater influence over individuals. Who better to target than minor children?”

While leftists may brush off this warning, the records of Harris and Walz are highly concerning. First, Harris is all about getting children into the education system as young as possible. She posted to Facebook in 2015 calling for universal preschool and full-day kindergarten classes, a stance she has doubled down on as she supports powerful teacher’s unions instead of parents who support school choice.

This is despite the fact that the American education system is failing students at every turn. From start to finish, public school students are performing at record-low rates. The Annenberg Institute at Brown University released their December 2023 report detailing that even preschool programs are producing low-quality results.

On April 3, 2024, the California Globe reported high school graduation rates have dropped and Bloomberg reported in December 2023 that U.S. students’ overall math scores have fallen to their lowest point in 20 years.

In 2015, Boston College researcher Dr. Peter Gray wrote about the long-term harm produced by taking children away from parents at an early age to thrust them into an academic setting before they are ready, via Psychology Today. He found that children who were placed in academic institutions at younger ages showed some short-term gains, but in the long term, those children were more likely to commit crimes, develop mental issues, and struggle in relationships.

Apparently, taking children away from their parents for extended periods of time before they are old enough to feel secure in the world may have serious consequences.

In addition, Harris recently fed the division between public school teachers and parents during a speech at the American Federation of Teachers Convention in July. She called mothers and fathers who oppose sexually explicit books being made available to underage students in schools “extremists.” She followed the “book ban” narrative, which claims that because parents wish to prevent sexually explicit LGBTQ books from entering public school libraries, they support “book bans.”

Furthermore, Harris celebrated the government takeover of college tuition disguised as student loan debt forgiveness, which pushed the national bill for higher education onto taxpayers. This was, of course, already struck down by the Supreme Court, but Harris is so dedicated to making every facet of American life government-controlled that she ignored that.

In September 2020 Harris admitted that she wants a universal-government-controlled college system where taxpayers foot the bill for every two and four-year college student whose family makes under $125,000 annually. In fact, since then, she has continued to push for giving “free” services from the taxpayer-funded government.

Why? Because she is all about a government that controls everything. And she knows that when the government is in control, parents have less power. Removing parents and family from our children’s education process is one main component of making that a reality.

Masking and vaccine mandates

Just look at her stance on vaccine and mask mandates and that of her running mate. Instead of affording American parents the right to decide what is best for their child’s medical needs during a time of unprecedented uncertainty, Tim Walz passed some of the most restrictive mask mandates when he was the governor of Minnesota. He also called for vaccine mandates in October 2021, a policy Harris also supported.

Harris posted to Facebook in 2021 – long after it was known that children and most healthy adults were not at high COVID risk – stating, “Vaccine requirements work. It’s not about politics. It’s about keeping people safe.”

Safety is always the guise that tyrants use to entrap people. It is this same “safety” narrative that Walz uses when promoting child sex-change surgery. According to the National Review, in April 2023, he made Minnesota a “Sanctuary State” for mentally ill gender-confused children so they can run away from parents and get medical sex changes without consent from their legal guardians, once again removing parents from the equation – because he believes the government knows best.

While young people may fall for these tactics because they do not understand the full scope of these stances, identity politics have become the easiest way to divide families, friends, and Americans. The focus on identity may seem well-meaning to those who know nothing about the deadly effects of communism and socialism, but pitting people against each other based on sex, religion, race, and more has been used to create tiered classes of the “haves and the have nots” to keep the people fighting while those in power take what they want until there is nothing left.

This is at the root of the Harris-Walz campaign. Both Harris and Walz preach about “equity” focusing on race, gender, and categorizing Americans based on identity instead of who they prove themselves to be.

An agenda built on dismantling parental rights

In 2019, Harris asserted during the Presidential Justice Forum that police officers should be removed from schools due to “inequities,” a suggestion that was applauded. Fast-forward to 2024, and the American Psychological Association reported in May that student violence and threats against teachers have skyrocketed in recent years.

Harris’s record also speaks for itself in regard to her lack of support for parental rights. According to The Heritage Foundation, when she was a California prosecutor, she chose to prosecute parents if their child missed too much school under the state’s anti-truancy law. This unduly burdened the families of chronically ill children. She also stated that she supports implementing a national policy on the issue of truancy that mimics that of California.

Walz is more terrifying in his obsession with restricting parental rights via the education system. In addition to championing identity politics in the classroom, he also signed Minnesota legislation that requires every homeschooling family to teach ethnic studies.

He supported violent BLM rioters in 2020 and called for socialism in America during the “White Dudes for Harris Call” this summer. Both Walz and Harris have continuously claimed that American minorities and women are somehow prevented from exercising their constitutional rights, all while championing policies that would strip millions of Americans of merit-based opportunities.

Trump-Vance is the only path forward

President Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (R), on the other hand, believe in supporting American parents. Trump laid out plans to fix the broken education system through Agenda 47: Ten Principles for Great Schools, which would remove divisive identity politics from curriculums, giving parents the right to elect school principals, offering universal school-choice, and investing in hands-on learning and on-the-job training.

He also supports homeschooling families and pledged to allow homeschoolers to establish 529 Education Savings Accounts that afford “$10,000 a year per child, completely tax free to spend on costs associated with homeschool education.”

During the pandemic, Trump was criticized for opposing school closures, the same closures that the Brookings Institution reported led to “devastating impacts on learning.” He also refused to impose a nationwide shutdown, mask mandates, or vaccine mandates in 2020. His dedication to medical rights and protecting parent’s rights to make informed decisions based on their children’s individual needs has been unwavering in the years that have followed.

Sen. J.D. Vance is right on board with Trump. Last year, he introduced the Freedom to Breathe Act, which would outlaw federal mask mandates. Vance is also a school choice supporter who co-sponsored the pro-school choice bill, the Educational Choice for Children Act, and openly decried transferring college debt to American taxpayers through deceitful and unconstitutional “student loan cancellation” programs in August 2022.

The future that Harris and Walz are seeking for our children and our families is completely opposed to that of the Family First politics presented by the Trump-Vance ticket. Harris and Walz have no interest in upholding Americans’ fundamental right to exercise our individual freedoms; they wish to replace healthy children — who can think for themselves — with government-raised pawns.

President Trump and Sen. Vance, by contrast, seek to empower parents with the resources necessary to strengthen their educational abilities so they can raise intelligent, well-informed children who are better prepared to enter the world of adulthood with the guidance of a loving family.

Americans must not only support President Trump and Vance but oppose the Harris-Walz campaign’s divisive rhetoric. Putting Americans first starts at home, with our families and our right to pass down our values. If we allow Harris and Walz to destroy our familial rights, no one will be able to escape the horrors that follow.
