President Donald Trump announced Tuesday on his social media site, Truth Social, that he would be doing an interview with SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who also happens to own the free speech platform X.
“ON MONDAY NIGHT I’LL BE DOING A MAJOR INTERVIEW WITH ELON MUSK — Details to follow!” Trump wrote.
Next Monday is August 12.
Musk – an innovative creator and one of the world’s richest men – endorsed President Trump’s campaign just moments after the president was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery[,]” Musk wrote on X July 13, minutes after the assassination attempt played out on live television and streams across the world.
It is unclear if the interview will take place on Trump’s social media platform (Truth Social) or Musk’s (X) – or if it will be streamed on social media at all.
Interestingly, this news comes just days after Truth Social announced the rollout of “Truth+,” a live-streaming content delivery system that may end up being highly competitive to a site like Rumble.
According to Forbes, the news of Trump’s newest rollout caused a 5 percent spike in TMTG (Trump Media & Technology Group) stock (DJT) last week.
This announcement comes just after President Trump announced that his live-stream with popular gamer and streamer Adin Ross on Monday exceeded 100 million views.
He wrote:
Congratulations to Adin and his wonderful mother, father, and family, who I had the pleasure to meet. Thank you also to Barron Trump for the introduction to your friend, Adin. Young people are the future of America. THOSE NUMBERS ARE REALLY BIG “STUFF!”
